-- Synopsis:
Firstly, channeling is an intricate facet of the Wheel of Time series and isn't immediately available to new members unless they show an unexpected depth of knowledge from reading the novels. Otherwise, WoT rookies must work their way up to channeling by creating and portraying a few "standard" characters.
A channeling character's origin largely depends on its homeland's culture-- or "class"-- along with the personal decisions incorporated into a detailed background, so reviewing any of our relevant content is advised.

Strength of Power.
--: SoP represents the character's MAX Source value.
Strength of Power defines the amount of True Source a character may safely harness and wield, clearly defining the outer limitations of its capacity with a numeric quantifier that will be accurately reflected as Power Taps.
A character with a SoP of 350 will have a MAX Power Tap count of exactly 350.
Power Taps are used to determine exactly how powerful a weave is while monitoring how much of a character's Strength of Power is currently in play, simulating the canon mechanics of channeling.
( Scale: 1 - 100 is Weak, 100 - 300 is Average, 300 - 500 is Strong, 500 - 1K is Greater & 1K+ is Profound. )

The Five Powers.
--: Elements have an effect on their worldly counterparts.
Aptitude with an element is referred to as "talent," not to be confused with actual Talents, and with enough of it a character may produce weaves from higher Tiers wherever that element is involved; requirements pending.
Strength in working with any particular element has no direct link with a character's Strength of Power.
( Five Powers: Earth, Water, Spirit, Air & Fire. )

Spinning Weaves.
--: Spinning refers to the act of constructing a weave.
Essentially, a character must weave "threads" of reasonably proportioned Elements together in a very specific pattern to produce the intended effect, all while adhering to its Strength of Power and other inhibitions.
Characters must personally know a weave in order to execute it or produce any form of similar effect.
( Factors: Elemental Talent, Spinning Speed & Weave Tiers. )

Talents of the Power.
--: Talents justify an uncommon aptitude or ability.
Talents of the True Source will always manifest as an uncanny aptitude with a particular weave type or a "signature" ability that cannot be duplicated without a comparable Talent in the same area, distinguishing a unique affinity of the One Power within the character. Talents are scarce in this Age and must remain so.
( Examples: Healing Weaves, Weather Weaves, Foretelling, making cuendillar, etc. )

Replicating Weaves.
--: Replication requires having it directly taught.
The easiest way to learn weaves is by enlisting into either the White or Black Tower, based on gender and the associated True Source half, where character development achieved through faction progress will yield opportunities to pursue training. Otherwise, finding a mentor in the One Power is highly circumstantial.
